As a courtesy to our home computer user clients, we have compiled a list of our most frequently requested home computer services and their estimated rates. Our estimated rates are based on real-world experience and assume standard circumstances. NOAH's technicians will make every effort to deliver a service at the estimated rate. However, some circumstances may warrant additional time. In such circumstances our technicians will alert you as soon as possible of a rate difference and seek your permission before starting or continuing the project. Our standard rate is $100.00/hour. Due to the specific nature of business networks, NOAH provides services to our business clients at our standard hourly rate of $95.00, with the exception of our Crash Recovery service which is offered to home and business users at the estimated rate. We are pleased to offer services to non-profit organizations at the reduced rate of $85.00/hour. Service contracts are available to our business and non-profit clients and offer many benefits such as guaranteed response time and reduced rates. If you have experienced a hard drive failure or an unrecoverable Windows crash, we will work tirelessly to recover your system. Hard drive failures and Windows crashes are potentially catastrophic events for home computer users and businesses alike. Return to Services List Diagnostic - $95.00 Whether your computer is running slow, turning off unexpectedly, or freezing, a diagnostic can help determine the cause. A NOAH technician will run standard diagnostics on your computer to identify hardware and general software issues. Once the diagnostics are complete you will be provided with a written report of our findings. Return to Services List Virus & Spyware Removal: Starting at $95.00 Available Online Computers infected by viruses and spyware typically run slower than usual and may crash or lockup frequently. Other symptoms include frequent pop-ups and homepage redirection. Spyware infections also leave computer users susceptible to identity and credit card theft. A technician will conduct comprehensive spyware and virus scans of your computer, removing any detected spyware or viruses. We will also advise you on preventing future infections and evaluate your current protection. Return to Services List PC Setup - $190.00 New PCs often require basic setup and configuration before use. To help you make the most out of your PC, a NOAH technician will perform the following tasks, as needed:
Return to Services List System and Hard Drive Optimization: $190.00 Onsite / $140 Online A technician will determine if your computer is automatically running unwanted programs. Reducing the amount of programs which automatically run at startup can significantly increase your computers performance. Additionally, we will help you identify and remove unwanted files and programs from your hard drive to free space. We will also determine if your computer is properly updated and we will defragment your hard drive as needed. Return to Services List Hardware Installation: $95.00 A NOAH technician will install a compatible internal device such as a sound card, or an external device, such as an external hard drive. Once installed, we will test the device to ensure its operability. Hardware not included. Return to Services List Computer Cleaning: $95.00 Accumulated dust particles may cause electrical shorts and overheating of your computer, significantly reducing its lifespan. A NOAH technician will safely remove dust from inside and outside your computer. Additionally, the technician will clean your monitor or laptop screen with approved cleaning products and remove dust and other buildup from your keyboard and mouse. Return to Services List Secure Wireless Internet Setup: $180 Hardware Included (Wireless Router) Wireless Internet access reduces or completely eliminates the need to plug your computer into a wall data jack. For laptop users, this lets you access the Internet practically anywhere in your home. To achieve this level of mobility, a NOAH technician will install a wireless router in an optimal location within your home. The technician will then configure the wireless router to provide secure Internet access to 1-2 desktop or laptop computers within your home. Finally we will provide instructions on connecting to your wireless router and provide hints and tips aimed at keeping your wireless network secure. DSL or Cable Internet connection required. Return to Services List Secure Wireless Network Setup: $250.00 Hardware Included (Wireless Router) This service expands our Wireless Internet Setup solution, providing wireless file sharing in addition to wireless Internet access. Wireless networking reduces or completely eliminates the need to plug your computer into a wall data jack. For laptop users, this lets you access the Internet and shared files practically anywhere in your home. To achieve this level of mobility, a NOAH technician will install a wireless router in an optimal location within your home. The technician will then configure the wireless router to provide secure Internet and/or file access to 1-2 desktop or laptop computers within your home. Finally we will provide instructions on connecting to your wifi network and provide hints and tips aimed at keeping your wireless network secure. DSL or Cable Internet connection required. Return to Services List Wireless Security Audit and Configuration: $95.00 - $190.00 Wireless networks provide a great level of convenience, but when improperly configured they leave you wireless network open for use by practically anyone. Unsecured wireless networks can lead to illegal use of your Internet connection, unauthorized access of your files, and can result in slow Internet connectivity. A NOAH technician will initially audit your network to determine its security level. If your wireless network is found to be secure you will be advised and charged only for the audit ($95.00). Should we find that your wireless network is not secure, we will reconfigure your wireless router and 1-2 desktop or laptop computers within your home for secure access. The technician will provide instructions on accessing your secure network along with hints and tips aimed at keeping it secure. Return to Services List Traditional Secure Network Setup: $280.00 Hardware Included (Router) Access the Internet from any computer in your house and share files between computers. A NOAH technician will install a standard firewall enhanced router, as needed, to create a traditional (wired) network within your home. We will then configure 1-2 desktop or laptop computers within your home to securely share files and access the Internet. Finally, the technician will provide instructions on using your network and provide hints and tips aimed at keeping network secure. DSL or Cable Internet connection required. This service assumes that our technicians will run networking cables within one household room or use existing data jacks to create the wired network. If you require a wired network between multiple rooms and do not have data jacks installed throughout your home, please ask us about network cabling for your house. Return to Services List Windows Installation: $240.00 A NOAH technician will install Windows 2000, Windows XP Home/Professional, or Windows Vista on one computer that meets recommended system requirements. All critical updates will be installed. Software not included. Return to Services List Windows Upgrade: $180.00 We will first determine if your system and current version of Windows are compatible with your specified upgrade version. If compatible, a technician will proceed with the upgrade and install critical updates. Return to Services List Training - 1 Hour: $95.00 Onsite / $75.00 Online A NOAH technician will provide professional, courteous training on the topic of your choice, from basic computer use to advanced use of Microsoft Outlook.
